Bad Blogger

Ever since Facebook has come into my life I haven't quite had the time to Blog. I realize my last post was last summer in Utah! I can only say it has been an action packed year so far. All three kids are playing soccer and loving it. Bill is still traveling a ton and racking up the frequent flyer miles (a movie titled "Up In The Air" comes to mind). To make my life more exciting I started working part-time at Old Navy and can't say that my paycheck doesn't go right back to the store. The upside to Bill traveling is the kids and I have joined him on two wonderful trips. First we all flew to Hawaii in January and did everything from parasailing to surfing. The kids loved hiking and swimming in the pool everyday. We also joined Bill in Colorado during Spring Break and got to snowboard and tubing in the snow. I absolutely fell in love with the mountains and trees that Denver had to offer. I have also taken more pictures these days, but can't seem to find the time to post them. I've had several clients this year so I thought it was about time to start a "company blog". In time I'm sure I will neglect it as well :) www.liviabusbyphotography.blogspot.com Check it out!

It's a Wonderful Life!

Bill has been bombarded with travel this month and to pay him back I flew to Utah the only week he was in town. Okay maybe he suggested I go visit Angela and get a break. I enjoyed the mild weather and beautiful scenery so much I was ready for Bill to send the kids to me instead of going home to the 100+ degree weather. The company was pretty nice too! Thank you so much to the DeLongs, Wellings and Wellers for a wonderful vacation!

July 4th

July has been a busy month! We celebrated the 4th at the Moerbe's house with other neighbors and friends. The kids had a blast swimming in the pool and watching the fireworks! Beth was a hoot jumping from the hot tub to the pool. I have never seen that girl so brave!

Dog Days of Summer

I took the kids to the park to shoot Beth for a project in her room. Not to be left out BJ dressed up for me too in his Transformers Halloween costume (mind you in 100+ degree weather). He picked his own poses and there's one I can only describe as his Zoolander face :) Learning to use my camera has turned out to be a blessing and a curse. In this shoot I forgot to lower my ISO from when I shot BJ's indoor soccer game so I was disappointed with some of the pics, but can never seem to throw out pics of my kids!

Summer Vacation

We started our summer vacation as soon as school was out. We dropped Julia off in College Station for soccer camp and headed to Nani's house in Houston. After picking Julia up from camp we headed to Galveston for a trip to Schlitterbaun (water park) and the beach. Beth wasn't feeling too good, but was a trooper for all that we did!

Baby Mia

I was on baby high last week when Jen was nice enough to let me photograph her week old daughter. I was so excited to get those sleepy newborn pics, but Mia had her own idea and was sweet enough to stay awake!

Beth Portraits

I had to bribe Beth with a doll, but I got some great pictures of her at the park the other day. I even got a few smiles :)
